In a world where everything is feeling a bit surreal it's nice to have some normality, and that comes in the form of Easter celebrations.

So, we made our bonnets and went in to the garden (and goodness me, wasn't it so beautiful and sunny!) and hunted eggs! Some of these eggs were so kindly donated by Morrisons Supermarket. Isn't that kind? We were so touched by this gesture.

Everyone is missing their friends and family at the moment and we are so looking forward to opening our doors and having normality back. Take care everyone.

We made the best of Mothers Day at Summercourt, it was strange but we still managed to raise smiles and celebrate.

Jess made video contact with some of our families which was just wonderful, other families came to visit and wave at the window.

To top the weekend off Lidl in Teignmouth gave us so many flowers which the residents have enjoyed arranging.

It has been a very strange week... lots of change and lots of emotions, but we are trying to keep as positive as we can here and keep things upbeat for the residents. I have to say that that isn't too difficult with the amazing team that I have here. There is so much 'can do' atmosphere, I really am a very luck care home owner with the most brilliant team!

We have been contacting families to compile our list of Skype IDs so we can make sure that there is as much contact as possible, we are also welcoming families to our front garden to wave at their loved ones.

We will get there, this is a journey and we will keep positive.
